Thilanka Resort and Spa is situated 180 km away from the international airport,in the center of Sri Lanka. At present the Bandaranaike International Airport is the only international airport in Sri Lanka; situated about 30 km north of Colombo. Travel time between the airport and Colombo is about 1 hour. Most international flights arrive early morning or late evening and guests have an option of hiring a vehicle or Air Taxi direct to Thilanka Resort and Spa or stay overnight in Colombo.
The advantage of travelling late evening or early morning is that the roads are much quieter and the drive will take about 3 hours.
The best way to arrive at Thilanka Resort and Spa … is to take a flight (seaplane) straight from the international airport to Dambulla (45 min. )
During the day Sri Lankan Airlines Air Taxi offers a direct flight by the Turbo Single Otter which takes up to eight passengers, Air Taxi offers a regular schedule . |
